I live in TN (I have seen the rally info and plan to
attend) I got my '86 Thumper a 'lil over a month ago.
I managed to "chop" it while learning some hard
lessons. I have almost put 250 miles on. Now waiting
for parts to mend my bike. This is my first
bike...and what can I say I LOVE IT!!!! I have lots
and lots and lots of things to learn...I wrench on my
own bike and want to do all matinence and "fixing" as
I possibly can. Grannie, well she has already had the
hands slapped a few times...hehehehe "This is mine go
play with your HD." I have learned alot from the
posts here.

I am going to need a tank but I think I will wait
till early spring to replace the scrapped, scratched
and dented stock one I have. I am setting up my
Savage for touring...I have a few things in mind and
one of those is a bigger gas tank. Need to get more
mileage between stops to run with the big girls
'round here.

This winter I plan to get some saddle time to prepare
for a trip to Florida for the Motor Maid Confrence,
it is in July. I also have a few out of state events
I want to do between now and then. Darn, there is
sooo many places I wanna see and sooo many roads to
travel.

So if any of you have any suggestions feel free to
throw them out.

BTW, if anyone wondering the Savage s my toring bike
because I am 4'9 and it is an extremly comfortable
ride for me. Although, I feel a solo seat and a
touring pack comin' on in the near future. Gonna do
outta state trip gotta put the "luggage" somewhere.
